What is your favorite book or band? To limit myself to one book seems unfair. So, I’m going to say two. Historically, my favorite book is the Silmarillion by JRR Tolkien, but a recent read that has vaulted to my favorite's shelf is The Memory of Old Jack by Wendell Berry.
What is your favorite thing to do on a Friday night? I love to go out to a restaurant downtown with my wife, daughter, and friends, but then be home by 7 so I can be quiet around the house until bed.
What do you love about First Presbyterian? I love First Presbyterian’s care for other people and the world. There is a deep hunger to bring compassion not only to people inside the walls of the building but the outside as well. The people here are not perfect, but we have committed to living together in love and confessing when we have not. It is a joy to behold and participate in.
