What is your favorite book or band? I love Agatha Christie, especially the book "And Then There Were None"

Anne Dillon Loflin is a Huntsville native and lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church. She recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in May 2020, and is currently pursuing her Masters of Science degree from The University of Alabama.
What is your favorite book or band? My favorite book is The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes, and my favorite band is the Avett Brothers.
What is your favorite thing to do on a Friday night? On a Friday night, I love going to listen to live music with friends, or staying in and watching Shark Tank and Dateline.
What do you love about First Presbyterian? Growing up at First Presbyterian has been one of the greatest blessings of my life! The intentional care shown for each person that walks through the door is beautiful to witness and experience. Working with our youth members is a pleasure and a joy. Their faithful hearts and generous spirits are clear reflections of God’s work in this church!

Lora Bohan is originally from the Chicagoland area but moved to Huntsville with her young family 24 years ago. All three of her children attended First Friends Preschool. She was previously a teacher at our preschool for the last 23 years and now is grateful and looking forward to the transition to Preschool Director.
What is your favorite book or band? My favorite “band” is Barry Manilow. The Easter Bunny brought me the album “This One’s for You” in my basket in 1976…no looking back after that. I have seen him live 5 times.
What is your favorite thing to do on a Friday night? When my kids were little, Friday night was MY FAVORITE with them…loved grilling out, and opening the pull-out couch and watching TV after baths and they would all crash on that thing together. Now I love to be in my PJs before dark and order Door Dash.
What do you love about First Presbyterian? I love the preschool and the welcoming families at First Presbyterian.

Kathy Gillmore is a Certified Christian Educator of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) with 27 years of experience as a Director of Christian Education. Additionally she holds a B.S. in Information Processing Systems from the University of Cincinnati. She is married to Dale and has a daughter, Elaine, and a son, Dean, daughter-in-law, Samineh, and a grandson, David.
What is your favorite book or band? A favorite book is Hawaii by James A. Michener
What is your favorite thing to do on a Friday night? Going out to eat with my family, but most of all I love to hug and play with my grandson
What do you love about First Presbyterian? I love that FPC has such forward-thinking and relevant messages and missions all in the context of such a historical building. My faith here feels rooted and reaching.

Ellen is originally from Long Island, NY and moved to Owens Cross Roads, AL from Taylor, PA in 2017. She has an Associate degree in Accounting along with years of finance work. She lives with her daughter, Alicia, and grandbaby, Raelyn Grace.
What is your favorite book or band? My favorite band is Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
What is your favorite thing to do on a Friday night? On Friday nights I like to relax from the week, watch movies, or play cards with friends.
What do you love about First Presbyterian? I love working at First Presbyterian, everyone is so nice and friendly, from the staff to the church members.

Isabel Evans grew up in Huntsville and is glad to be back in the area. She has a BA degree from Birmingham-Southern College. Her husband, Jeff, is the rector at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. They have two wonderful sons, Ethan (20) and Dylan (15). They have a rescue Australian Shepherd Mix named Doug.
What is your favorite book or band? My favorite band is difficult to narrow down since I listen to a wide variety of music, but I do lean toward of the Old 97’s and The Avett Brothers.
What is your favorite thing to do on a Friday night? Go out with my husband for Mexican food.
What do you love about First Presbyterian? I love the staff and congregation. Everyone is so friendly!

Dr. Patricia Ramirez Hacker is originally from Honduras. She holds a BM in Vocal Performance from Southeastern Louisiana University. Additionally she holds Masters degree in Choral Conducting and Vocal Performance and a DMA in Choral Conducting from The University of Southern Mississippi. She is married to Bruce and have two dogs, Riley and Yoda.
What is your favorite book or band? Chicago as band. As orchestra Vienna Philharmonic
What is your favorite thing to do on a Friday night? Be outside in the backyard with my husband Bruce and play with Riley my dog.
What do you love about First Presbyterian? The people. They are like family to me.

Dr. Lois K. Lee, native of South Korea, graduated from Westminster Choir College (MM) sponsored by the Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship, Texas Tech (MM), and UCLA (DMA) and holds the Colleague certification from the American Guild of Organists. She lives with her husband Jason and a son Daniel.

What is your favorite thing to do on a Friday night? We go to our favorite restaurants.
What do you love about First Presbyterian? The Sunday service. Though the time, God respond to my earthly struggles and repair my deep emotional scars, then rejuvenate my body and soul.

The Rev. Brett Gudeman is originally from Tucson, AZ. He completed his B.A. degree in Religion at Northwestern College and his Masters of Divinity Degree at Princeton Theological Seminary where he received The C. Frederick and Cleta R. Mathias Memorial Award for demonstrating great promise for pastoral ministry marked by significant leadership in worship. He is married to his wonderful wife, Ally, and they have a daughter who they adore, Evelyn.
What is your favorite book or band? To limit myself to one book seems unfair. So, I’m going to say two. Historically, my favorite book is the Silmarillion by JRR Tolkien, but a recent read that has vaulted to my favorite's shelf is The Memory of Old Jack by Wendell Berry.
What is your favorite thing to do on a Friday night? I love to go out to a restaurant downtown with my wife, daughter, and friends, but then be home by 7 so I can be quiet around the house until bed.
What do you love about First Presbyterian? I love First Presbyterian’s care for other people and the world. There is a deep hunger to bring compassion not only to people inside the walls of the building but the outside as well. The people here are not perfect, but we have committed to living together in love and confessing when we have not. It is a joy to behold and participate in.

The Rev. Dr. Tara W. Bulger completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia, her Masters of Divinity degree at Columbia Theological Seminary and her doctorate at McCormick Seminary. She is married to Brian and they have two daughters, Hannon and Ryann.
What is your favorite book or band? My favorite book is A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving. I try to read it every year. As for band, there are too many to name! Music is a huge part of my life.
What is your favorite thing to do on a Friday night? My perfect Friday night would be dinner with my family (especially if we grill out) and then having a movie night at home.
What do you love about First Presbyterian? There is so much I love, but a few are the thundering herd of kids who come down front each Sunday during worship, the people here who have helped me become and better Christian, and this church’s commitment to love and care for others.
